Have you asked yourself why it's hard to lose weight?
Well, you're not alone. I have been helping people for about 13 years or so. There are a few things that will not let you down on your weight loss journey. Think about your approach. For most people they just start. Starting is very important, but not the most important. I will list the top four things.
First thing is you need a starting place. You need to get measurements. They will never lead you wrong. I have seen people lose the same amount of weight or body fat and have completely different psychological effect.
Measuring will give you an exact starting point. Everything should be measured in a 30 day cycle. Sometimes we are doing the right thing and we don't realize it. By taking the right steps you can continue advancing.
The second thing in your approach is to chart or write down all your foods. There is power in the pen. It takes more steps. That will help you stay more accountable. Everything has to be tracked. You will also need a eating program that will work for you. Your personality and lifestyle will be a factor here. Being consistent with your food choice will pay off in a big way.
The third key is not weighing yourself everyday. You don't want to derail your results either way. Our mind is so powerful. Don't set yourself up for failure. Sometimes when your getting good results you slack up. If, you're not getting the results you want, you may want to quit. Either way stay the course.
The fourth thing is getting the right resistance training program in place. Showing up to get a good work out is very important. If you feel like you didn't get a good work out. Guess what you didn't. Don't over train your muscles. This can be counter productive. It can actually slow your weight loss down. Muscle need rest. Pick a muscle group for that day.
The last idea here is being able to balance each component. Without proper approach on each one of these it may stop your progress. Manage yourself. Keep checks and balances. Don't believe everything about fitness and health.
You have to have the proper approach to win in this. I have found your initial steps to be some of the most important to have success. I have seen so many fail.
