Learn How to Have Fun While Exercising

When the days are hectic and things have not gone your way, the last thing that you want to think about is exercising; even thinking about exercising at home can be burdensome if you had a hard day. Stresses can even take a toll on you when you start exercising. This happened to me when I started the Insanity program; I had too many thoughts run through my head that it affected my performance and I had no desire to continue the workout.

So, has the world come to an end because there is no desire to exercise? Here are some ideas that I am going to throw at you to help get you get motivated and make your workouts more fun and exciting.
1. Exercise with a friend, spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend to make thing more interesting. It would be even more fun if there was challenge to see who can run the farthest, do more push-ups or sit-ups for example. Doing these things will get you motivated to exercises more.
2. If you go to the gym, mix it up a little bit. Don't just use 1 exercise equipment each time you go to the gym. Use all the resources and equipment the gym has to offer. Take swimming classes, do yoga, play basketball (if the gym has a court), racquetball and use all the weight lifting machines that are there for you to use.
3. Going to the playground is not just for kids. I will explain; use the monkey bars to do upper body strength workouts such as pull-ups. Let your imagination flow when it comes to playground equipment.
4. Go on a bike ride on a mountain trail, through your neighborhood or a local park. Here is an idea of you can exercise the next time you visit a park and that is yoga. If you have kids, have your spouse or a family member baby sit the children so that you can enjoy the peace and quiet of doing yoga in the park.
5. Get involved in competitive sports. You will not only improve your social health by meeting new friends, the competition will get your heart going and you will get in the best shape of your life. Go to the city recreation office to see which sports are available to join now and to see which ones are coming up.
6. Purchase a home workout program that will challenge you by performing all sorts of new exercises.
To help keep you inspired to work out every day, post inspirational quotes on your mirrors or refrigerators. It is important to feed that motivational side of your brain to keep you going.
What I have listed is just a small example of how you can make exercising super fun. When I do my workouts, I always like to change things up a little bit so that the workout does not become monotonous. When you focus on your ultimate fitness goal and have that spirit of never giving up, you will achieve that body you have always wanted!
